Blackberry sure has significant features: the screen is 2.8 inches diagonally and the keyboard is actually on the phone, most of which are not in other phones. A lot of girls might think the keyboard is too small to type, but the users say that it is actually very convenient. Because it is not in the touch mode, users are able to make fewer mistakes and feel like they are using computer keyboards.
However there were some serious demerits that need to be considered before buying. A lot of applications are limited; they say most of the famous game applications are not available. Thus, for those who want to enjoy games or amusing applications, Blackberry is not recommended. In addition, they say the sensitivity of the touch function is not as good as other phones.
Galaxy S2
“I bought Galaxy S2 because I liked the wide screen; you don’t have to stick close to the phone to see what it says. Moreover, because of the big screen, it doesn’t feel crowded even though there are a lot of applications.”
Wide screen seemed to be the most attractive element of the Galaxy S2. Because of the wide screen, users have the flexibility to position the icons as they want and it doesn’t look messy. In addition, users loved the fact that they could vary the appearance of their phone, with a variety of attractive (and cheap) phone cases available. Not only can users vary the design of the casing, but also the design of the screen, with various software design options. Unlike IPhone, the application icons don’t go over the background so they can apply more complex background designs and themes. Furthermore, even though the phone is big, it’s not that heavy; it weighs 121g and the thickness is 8.89mm. However, due to the large size of the screen, the battery runs out quickly. Users have to be more mindful of the recharging requirement when they go out. Taking extra batteries as replacements is a must, so this could inconvenience the users.
IPhone 4S
“I got Iphone for my graduation present. I had to download an application because I couldn’t do videotelephony with other series phones… I don’t like that part.”
Iphone is one of the most popular smart phones in the world. Many interviewees point out its nice design, small size, and diversity of applications as its advantages. Actually Iphone is smaller than the other smart phones. Besides its resolution, the Iphone is the best among the four phones (Iphone, galaxy S2, Blackberry Bold 9900, and Motorola RAZR). Its resolution is 960x640. Isn’t it amazing? Moreover, it has various applications. Apple’s App Store provides qualitative and quantitative applications.
However, there are also some disadvantages of using this phone. Like one of the interviewees said, it’s the heaviest phone among the four. You can feel its weight when you pick up the Iphone 4S in one hand and any other smart phone on the other hand. It weights 140g. Besides, its battery is not detachable, so this will be a significant disadvantage for who use phones a lot outside. Another small disadvantage is that the Iphone cannot carry out videotelephony to other brands without installing an application. However, this was considered a minor inconvenience by the people we interviewed.
Overall, the best advantage of the Iphone is its variety of applications (except the difficulties in arranging videotelephony), but the other phones are lighter and easier to recharge. It’s your choice to choose!
Motorola RAZR
“I bought RAZR because it is a very rare product. I haven’t seen people with this phone and that makes me feel that I’m unique. Also, this phone is super slim and anybody who notices me with RAZR says that it is beautiful.”
“Everything is fine though the battery is packaged inside so it’s no use carrying an extra battery. This is quite inconvenient because I use this phone a lot and the battery goes flat quite often.”
Motorola RAZR, the thinnest smart phone in the world, is 7.1mm thick. It weighs 127g which is quite lighter than other smart phones. Not only did they design it beautifully, but also they designed it practically. Motorola emphasizes that Razr is easy to grip and carry. Moreover, the back of the phone is covered with a texture called “Keblar textiles”, which has high elasticity and strength, and it can protect the phone from shocks. Also the front side of this phone is made of “Gorilla glass” which doesn’t get scratched easily. Plus it is water proof so it is safe from spilt drinks or rain.
Girls who like to play with cameras a lot should pay attention to this. RAZR’s camera on the back side has 8 million pixels and the front one has 1.3 million pixels. Also, if you shake the screen when taking videos, it will correct the videos automatically. However, some say that the photo is taken closer so their faces look bigger.
Another thing to consider is that its battery is inner packaged so it cannot be detached. In addition, its battery runs down relatively faster than other smart phones so it will be inconvenient for girls who use their phone a lot outside.
